( Amor over Armor – Love over War )
At first, I was skeptical about artificial intelligence in art. I believed it might diminish the artistic spirit of human creators because of how easily it can generate images. However, I later realized that AI does not replace the artist—it supports the creative process. Every result still begins with a human idea, vision, and direction.
When used responsibly, AI can help amplify artistic expression. It allows artists to explore visual studies quickly and experiment with different possibilities, which can then be refined through our own perspective and style.
For this entry, I captured the image during a photowalk in downtown Toronto, where protesters and police officers were facing each other. Among the series of photographs I took that day, this moment stood out the most. Because the situation was unfolding quickly, the original image was slightly blurry.
To restore and enhance the photograph, I first used AI-based tools which is Topazlabs to improve focus and clarity, followed by adjustments in Lightroom for noise reduction and color correction. After refining the image, I used AI again to elevate the visual concept while staying faithful to my original composition.
