Awe

Whether you live in the northern hemisphere and fall is upon you or in the southern hemisphere and spring is round the corner, now is the time to get out and about. Time outside and immersed in the natural world has many therapeutic effects on our wellbeing. This is especially true if we cultivate a sense of awe – the sense of wonder and reverence for the world we live in. Try going for a walk and taking the time to notice all the beauty that surrounds you whether it is the early morning light or a child on a bike. Cultivating this sense of beauty and awe has been shown to increase wellbeing. It can calm us and decrease stress.
