From Idol to Mentor to Friend

This day—being with my family and sharing a glass of wine with the founder of the field, someone I studied for so many years—he was there as a friend and mentor, telling me to go and explore the world. It is time to spread Positive Psychology around the globe, especially in Brazil. Marty has been so generous with us and with me, encouraging me to connect the Positive Psychology and happiness movement in Brazil and to publish my book. Studying with him at Penn, an Ivy League, was a dream. The MAPP community is amazing. I won’t be at the Summit this year in person, but I’ll be there in heart, mind, and spirit. Next year, for sure. Thank you, Marty, for creating such an amazing community and spreading well-being into the world through so many incredible practitioners, but above all great human beings.
