​This photograph is the sharp line where life meets death, and the purity of the future meets the debris of the past.
​There is a pitch-black silence left behind by the fire, scattered with the empty shells of tortoises that could not hold on to life. The profound agony of nature is etched into the color of the soil and the charred trunks of the trees. Yet, right at the center, sits the purest form of life, oblivious to it all.
