It has been 25 years since I have had a parent or grandparent that could see something in me that I could not see in myself. That changed with MAPP. From acceptance of my application to graduation day and beyond, Marty has filled that gap. From tough love to trust and curiosity to inspiration and belief, Marty has made us all feel like we matter and we belong. Because you saw something in me that I did not see in myself, I now find myself thriving in a space I did not know existed. Because of you I can now help others flourish in a way they never knew possible. Because of you Courageous Optimism was born from a single question during “Lunch with Marty”. And because of you I now, too, believe in me.
