I chose this image not because being a future doctor encompasses the individual that is me but because it will form a large part of my life moving forward.
The name of this image is “Hope never sleeps” because just like the light in the background that continues to shine despite overwhelming darkness surrounding it, hope labours on, even when we can’t anymore. Hope is the foundation of all futures. Without hope, a tomorrow cannot exist. It is my life’s mission to bring hope to as many people as possible. The work of a doctor allows for one to meet others at their most vulnerable and to help them transcend adversity, it also has the potential to cause irreversible damage. We all have the choice to be a positive force in this life or a dark cloud. I choose to aspire for the light.
