[Note (this part may be omitted in the posting should it be selected for feature): This is a second version of the same original work I previously submitted. While it is less aesthetically illustrative, it remains culturally appropriate. This AI-assisted version is closer to—and more accurately authentic in—its contexts and portrayals.]
The Aeta people are known for being naturally happy, warm, and welcoming. As a documentary photographer, I deeply enjoy working with our Aeta brothers and sisters because their love for art and friendship is so vibrant that it truly shines through in every piece of work I create with them.
In the original photo, it is already evident that I witnessed genuine happiness among the children as they playfully gave their pet carabao a cold bath in a running stream that flows across the lahar-capped terrain of Sitio Haduan, where the tribal community lives. With the help of an AI tool, I was able to further expand and emphasize the spirit of happiness and contentment found in their simple and sustainable way of life, while showcasing the vibrancy and rich colors of their beautiful culture and traditions.
I made sure that the portrayals in the AI-enhanced version are closely rooted in real life in order to respect their cultural identity and allow the world to see an authentic reality, even as the work is augmented through technology.
