Relationships

This photograph was taken while I was walking, something I often do to stay present and observe the world around me. I’m drawn to documentary photography because it allows me to capture real, unposed moments.
In this image, a grandmother and her grandchild share a quiet interaction. I didn’t intervene or direct, I simply witnessed. To me, the photograph is about relationships in their most natural form: generational closeness, care, and the everyday intimacy that often goes unnoticed.
To me, thriving in Ventura County isn’t only about growth or opportunity, it’s about connection. It’s about generations living alongside one another, building community through shared time, memory, and presence.
