I want to lead with compassion, intention, and understanding, my goal as a mentor is to ensure that others feel seen, heard, and truly understood — while also being challenged to grow beyond their comfort zones. In our prime of adulthood navigating university feels new and unfamiliar, let us cultivate desires for accountability, bravery, joy, and, of course, discipline. Growth should feel empowering, not overwhelming; structured, yet still filled with freedom and fun.
As said in Dead Poets Society, “No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.” — John Keating
So do things your own way. Be brave. Be strong. And most importantly — become.
