As a result of MAPP, I’ve deepened my appreciation for savoring moments of joy and awe, especially in nature. This selfie captures one of those moments – I encountered a green sea turtle while snorkeling near my home in Florida. This image symbolizes an exciting new hobby as well as a commitment to learning about and protecting local wildlife and the coral reefs.
For me, my MAPP experience nurtured mindfulness, gratitude, and meaningful connection. When I bring friends and family to snorkel, each shared moment underwater reminds us of the beauty of nature and the importance of protecting the earth.
