Volunteers at the Canadian Positive Psychology Association Conference 2014

I remember when we founded the Canadian Positive Psychology Association in 2012, I went for a walk with Marty and asked him for his advice as we embarked on this exciting journey. His answer: “Have a conference.” We had no money, no bank account, no website…nothing. But a handful of us organized a very successful first conference and held many more since. We were a drop in the pond as we spread the word about positive psychology in Canada and the ripple effects have been tremendous. It has been the honour of my life to lead the CPPA and to see the impact we are having on improving wellbeing for all Canadians.
