True Joy

This is a 93 year old woman that I had the pleasure of being a companion to for about the last year of her life. She was originally living next door with family when I first got to know her. When this picture was taken she had recently moved into a care facility for about a week. She was very unhappy to be living there. This was the first and last time I witnessed be truly happy. I’m grateful I was able to be there and capture this moment. It really is the simplest things in life that can bring joy to someone.
