In this very atypical camp, the children (Moldovan social orphans and Ukrainian war orphans, for the most part) live with retirees who no longer have family.
A concept that has proven itself and proves that across generations, there is empathy, solidarity, friendship.
Everyone is a winner and contributes a lot to others.
This photo comes from my humanitarian report on Moldova, working with Ukrainian war refugees and Moldovan social orphans.
In October 2023, I travelled to Moldova and the autonomous territory of Gagauzia to teach photography to these children in several local associations that welcome and house them.
Sharing with these children who have suffered so much was very enriching for everyone, and they showed a lot of motivation, creativity and joy!
