The flowers that await you

Spotted in the capital city of Chetumal, Quintana Roo, Mexico, on my way home from an errand, this butterfly woke me up from my urban routine and had me running for my camera. It had stayed put, drying out its wings before taking its first flight, sometime soon after this photo was taken.
