Hatchlings

A pair of robins made a nest and laid their eggs in a newspaper delivery box. For weeks when I walked by, it was evident that the newspaper delivery person was tenderly placing the newspaper on top of the box in order to protect the eggs and then the hatchlings. During summer 2020, I received such joy from checking their status during our afternoon lockdown walks and was rewarded with a few peeks at the babies before they fledged.
