We’re excited to share with you a collaboration with Imperial College London that, while specifically designed for their community, reflects the mission we hold at SeeingHappy.
Imperial College is introducing the “In Motion: Imperial with ‘SeeingHappy’” photo challenge, a contest that resonates with our ethos of capturing and sharing moments of joy and togetherness. This initiative invites Imperial participants to portray the vibrant and aspirational spirit of their community, aligning perfectly with our belief in the power of photography to connect and uplift. This contest will be leading up to the “SeeingHappy @ Imperial Photography Exhibition” which will be held from May 13th to 15th, coinciding with the UK’s Mental Health Awareness Week. This event will showcase a collection of photographs from SeeingHappy that not only celebrate the joyful and resilient aspects of the human experience but also highlight the collective journey we are all on, regardless of our backgrounds. The winning photograph of In Motion will also be shown at the exhibition.
While the direct participants of these events are from Imperial College, the essence and impact of these projects extend far beyond, touching the heart of our SeeingHappy community. They serve as a reminder of the universal language of photography and its ability to bridge gaps, tell stories, and inspire change.
We see this collaboration as an opportunity to further our mission of promoting positive mental health and well-being through the arts. It’s a chance for us all, wherever we are, to be inspired, to reflect on our shared humanity, and to contribute to a narrative of hope and possibility.
