Embracing diversity

A student from an exchange program abroad is seeing hugging a tea estate worker after hours of learning on the lifestyle of tea estate women, in central hills of Sri Lanka. The student was so moved by the stories, and this interaction was genuine as the student requested to climb up the hill, through the dense tea bushes to reach the lady and give a hug, before parting ways. The tea estate workers are considered lowly within the local community, but interecations as merely a hug could change the whole prospective and give hope to women working tea estate sector.
