Carmen

When I went to Camp Kesem, I had zero expectations. To be honest, I thought it would be more of a group therapy session than a camp. As I would soon come to realize, Kesem was a tight-knit community with age-old friendships—friendships I had not been there to make.
Carmen, as she was called, was different. It was her first year in a new place. Most people would be terrified, but Carmen had a plan. With her head held high and her spirits unshaken, she looked onto the campgrounds with a new sense of eagerness and pride.
