A Girl That Dared To Dream

This picture of me standing at a Children’s hospital pursuing the dreams I used to think were impossible. Not only do I stand and represent myself, but I alstand for all the women in my family that kept me encouraged and chasing my dreams. I stand for every little girl in my community back in KZN who never thought it was possible. But most of all, I stand for the dream of my 20 year-old self that experienced failure and the biggest set back in 2022, I stand as a reminder that anyone can still rise and try again, nothing that hard work can not solve. A stethoscope around my neck, a smile on my face and ready to serve. Delayed dreams are not denied dreams. This is also a symbol of progress for that dream of becoming the first doctor in my family.
