This is Luca, a child born not by accident, but by intention. He is, perhaps, the first truly co-created MAPP baby, a living, laughing expression of everything we learned in positive psychology about purpose, meaning, connection, and conscious choice.
Luca was brought into the world through love, friendship, and trust rather than traditional roles or expectations. He is co-parented by two dear friends Nikki and Louis from MAPP 3 who chose to build a modern family rooted in psychological safety, compassion, and shared values.
Long before he arrived, there were conversations inspired by MAPP teachings: What does flourishing look like for a family? How do we design systems that support it? What would it mean to raise a child grounded in love, openness, and intentional community?
Every day, Luca reminds us of a truth we explored many times together at MAPP, a truth that Martin Seligman wrote about: we can choose the future we want to create. His life is not just a blessing, it is a deliberate act of hope.
MAPP gave us research and language, but it also gave us each other. And from that connection, new life, literally, began.
