Family and kindness

When the chips are down my family will always be there for me. Yesterday we had to attend and family funeral when storen eowyn hit us. I woke up that day feeling super ill (more then just my op stuff).

Dad: He drove us to auntie fayes house and then back home from the funeral. He also helped me get ready by putting my shoes and socks on for me. I was sat between my brother and dad at the funeral. I put my hand on my dad’s arm and he didn’t shrug it off so I think that was he was of supporting me which I really appreciate and hope that he felt supported too.

Jamie: He helped by pushing me in a wheelchair into/out of my auntie fayes house so I could chat with my family members that were there and he also pushed me from outside the funeral building to the inside, litterally to my seat and back to the car. it was his first time and am sure he was nervous but he did a really good. When I thanked him inperson and over text he said the same thing.. “that’s what brothers are for”. He sat next to me at the funeral and altho he didn’t look at me or anything I could just feel the support.

Carley: she borrowed the weelchair from her work. At first I thought I didn’t need it but looking back I think I did. I’d have been far to slow with just pearl and I’d would have probably missed it all. She also helped my mum get it/me in and out of the car.

Mum: she helped me the night before my getting my clothes wtc from upstairs to lay out ready. She helped get ready in the morning from top to bottom. She set up the weelchair and helped get me in and out of the car. She passed me tissue before the funeral started. She drove to the funeral and to the walk in centre in fleetwood and back. She believed me when I said something was wrong that day.

Just a side note about the walk in centre:
The Dr’s and NHS staff were lovely and very helpful but it was the kindness of the patients waiting to be seen that stuck with me. So I need the bathroom and a good 2 lads jumped up to help open the door for me. They then jumped up again to help me back through the door. Someone offered up their seat so my mum could park us on the end and sit with me. Everyone was moving everything that may have gotten in the way of me when I was going in to see the Dr. When he got to the car storm eowyn was being a big problem so my mum was struggling to open the door and get me in position. Should extremely nice lady came to out rescue and asked if she could hold open the the car door for us whilst she gets me in. Kindness really does go along way and I hope the people who helped me get some form of good karma. Simple acts of kindness really can make someone’s day and whole lot better. So in a world where you can be anything, be kind
