Neighborhood Visions

I hosted a block party for my 40th birthday in August made possible through a local grant. The party was an opportunity to bring together friends, meet neighbors and do a small part to build neighborhood community. The party contained fresh waffle and grilled cheese stations, an art table, playground games, a DJ and facilitated connection activities. This board was also placed to give neighbors an opportunity to share their visions for the neighborhood (and to give provide me ideas for future events/initiatives I could work on). It was a party very inspired by positive psychology and will serve as inspiration for my work in community engagement in my neighborhood and beyond.
