Took this shot at a Pearl Harbor remembrance day. The term, “Remember Pearl Harbor…”, has faded as new generations know little of what happened there. The next day, standing before congress, president Roosevelt asked for a declaration of war declaring “December 7th 1941, a date that would live in infamy”.
The irony of this photo is in the two speakers that were on the program. One of Nipponese Heritage and the other a family member of one who was at the naval facility that fateful Sunday morning. Will nations ever learn the lessons of the past. Let us HOPE!
