The photo was taken during the great flood of May 2024, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Lake Guaíba, which borders the city, rose more than 5 meters, invading the Historic Center and the neighborhoods that are on its shores. The state of Rio Grande do Sul was devastated. In this photo, two girls are walking on the shore of Lake Guaíba. The rainwater took over the skate park, forming a real pool. Despite the adverse situation, they walked with their parents through the flooding.
