Rooted in Life and Guided by Understanding

I am Zoë Vermeulen, a proud resident and mentor at Baxter Hall Residence. As a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, I am discovering the beauty of multiple perspectives that enrich my understanding of the world. Each interaction opens my eyes to new ideas and cultures, fostering a deep appreciation for the diversity that surrounds us. I treasure rich histories, a vibrant present, and the promise of an ever-changing future, recognising that every moment is an opportunity for growth.

With kindness and love as my guiding principles, I strive to create a supportive environment where all voices can be heard. I actively listen to all sides of a story, understanding that this practice not only informs my opinions but also strengthens my connections with others. While I am not without flaws, I wholeheartedly embrace these imperfections as part of the human experience, understanding that they make me unique and relatable.

My name, rooted in Greek, means “life.” It serves as a constant reminder of my mission: to infuse every encounter with positivity and vitality. I hope to share this gift of life with others, wherever I go, even if only for a fleeting moment, leaving a lasting impact on those I meet along the way. Together, we can create a tapestry of experiences, weaving kindness and understanding into the fabric of our lives.
