“Thankyou for letting us come here”

“Thankyou for letting us come here” we went to the beach. They made sand castles, Wrote in the sand, buried their feet and jumped some waves. I spent a fair amount of money today i.e. we went to a fun attraction and had food out. when I asked what their favorite part of the day was they both agreed (and me tbf) that playing in the water was their favorite part. Whilst playing in the sand lacie said “Thankyou for letting us come here”. It reminded me that happiness and memories that last do not need to cost the earth.
