If there’s one thing I’ve seen in every country I’ve visited, it’s children playing football.
It’s universal!
This little Moldovan orphan is training to score goals.
And it puts a smile on his face (and, above all, shows just how skilful he is!).
This photo comes from my humanitarian report on Moldova, working with Ukrainian war refugees and Moldovan social orphans.
In October 2023, I travelled to Moldova and the autonomous territory of Gagauzia to teach photography to these children in several local associations that welcome and house them.
Sharing with these children who have suffered so much was very enriching for everyone, and they showed a lot of motivation, creativity and joy!
There is always hope!
