I was taking photos for a news story of a WWII re-enactment some years ago.
Before the show the actors would mingle with the audience.
The man on the left (now deceased) was a Veteran that fought from the landing beaches of France to Berlin. I heard him telling this actor, who was born long after WWII, some of the horrible things he had witnessed.
There is a mindset by some that images like this should be banned. I see it as history to be analyzed and studied, not to be forgotten. By the way, the good guys won the battle!
