Piers and beaches make me happy – taking this photo I had to work around so many happy people taking their own pier photos – the young family taking a selfie on the beach with the little girl who wanted to be in my photo, the wedding group under the pier, and the old couple

At noon, I go outside with a friend to have lunch, when we go through a building, we find a tree with the seeds, which can be used to wash hair. My first time time to see so many seeds on that tree.
I put plenty of photos of my kids on my desktop. No matter what season it is, no matter what the weather is like, no matter what I go through today, when I see their smily faces, I feel it is always in summer, it is always sunny, I am always happy.
I was told that this sloth was a juvenile (teenager, perhaps)… It certainly enjoyed lolling about in the branches of his tree. 😉
Once a proud whaling ship now sits at its final berth giving way to the elements that will turn it to rust. Over the decades the beauty of this hulk will gradually fade away only to be remembered by images such as this.
Decimated dock at a once thriving whaling port. The isolation of this venue beholds a beauty only disturbed by the arrival of cruise ships with its manifest of curios passengers viewing the ruins of a bygone industry.
Several Sea Lions sleeping on the grass, oblivious to the cruise ship in the background! Beauty surrounds us in all forms and shapes!
I don’t know why but I love to photograph under the pier – I love the enticing horizon I guess – gives me hope that there are good things awaiting 🙂

During the first quarantine, I felt anxiety & fear from what is yet to come. I experienced sleepless nights & felt the need to rebel against the rules. I walked the beach under the cover of darkness. The city looked enchanted. I blessed my ability to document what I saw & share with the CHM

This picture takes me back to my childhood in Netanya close to the sea. During Agam’s treatments, I took on the role of a wave breaker. I was the mediator of reality for her during this difficult time. Only the truth & only hope. I delivered a message of optimism & patience.
