Saw this gentleman relaxing in his beach chair watching the surf roll in.He seemed very content and Happy. That makes me HAPPY seeing folks like him just taking a break from the toils of everyday life.

After much research (who knew there was so much to know about flagpoles) we finally purchased a flagpole for our my husband’s birthday. This picture was taken the very day his flags flew for the first time. He’s a very proud Captain US Navy Ret. Aviator, and I love him wholeheartedly.

This is a closeup shot of a piece of art which caught my attention while at MOMA. Without the presence of the lightbulbs some might describe the texture of this surface as being drab, desolate, and utilitarian. I feel that the presence of the lightbulbs give the surface a greater sense of vibrancy and illuminates
While the subway can be full of twists, turns, and jolts, I find it as a place to sit and reflect as I head to my destination. Despite the sense of motion I have captured in the image, I identify the subway with a sense of home no matter where I am in New York
As I looked out at the Jersey City skyline from the Little Island at Pier 55, I felt a resounding sense of calm and serenity. Like the boat captured in this image making its way down the water, I myself feel the same sense of stride in how I approach everyday life.
While this is undoubtedly a beautiful plaza, it is a shame that the Spanish colonizers built this cathedral over an Aztec temple. I dedicate this post towards the beauty of what could have been if the Aztec temple was still standing today.
