Despite the hundreds I have spent on real toys, my cats still love nothing more than an empty box or bag to play in.
My cat was resting next to me while I was reading and heard a noise – I think she looks kind of like a meercat in this photo.

This young buck was so deeply immersed in his bounty that he scarcely noticed that I was there. A beautiful end to my workday.
Just a tiny arrangement evokes a big smile. Reminds me of when I was a little girl and would pick flowers for my mother on my way home from school – violets, buttercups, even dandelions were so lovingly displayed on the windowsill by Mom.
My wife loves to get out in her garden early in the morning. Caught this as the sun was creeping over her flowers. Her garden gives both of us much happiness the short time it is with us. She spends hours nurturing it while I mostly enjoy the visions of her labors.
One of my wife’s Grand Daughters is visiting us for a week. This livens up our house, and makes my wife and I very happy. They are shown taking a break from a stroll on the beach here in Cape May.
