I wouldn’t have been able to stop and notice the intricate clusters of color if the smell did not guide my sight. Our senses and way of seeing all comes from our sense of smell. Without smell there would be no evolution leading to sight.
Something in me told me to turn around. To my surprise there was a rainbow. Looking up literally opens your eyes to a world of beauty.

In the Sunken Forest of Fire Island (my “happy place”), I came across these intertwining trees that looked like they were embracing and even kissing.
This American Bald Eagle landing on a tree. I think this is a unique way to process the image that has a mix of detail with a minimal background.
Seeing kids having fun doing simple things like rolling down a hill is a good reminder that adults need to do simple, fun things too!
